L'Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow Review

A long time ago I did a post about random eye shadow formulas and some reviews on products with those formulas. I included one of the L’Oreal Infallible eye shadows and since then I have purchased a few more. I love these shadows so much that I wanted to do a post just dedicated to these shadows and to show the other colors that I purchased recently. This may be a pointless post since these shadows have been around for a while now and aren’t really new, but I still wanted to do a review just in case there’s someone out there who hasn’t tried these shadows before.

I love the packaging of these shadows. The container is quite small and compact so storing or traveling is made easy since these don’t take up much space. You can also see the actual product inside which is great because it’s easy to grab the right color that you want. It may seem like you don’t get too much product but in reality a little goes a long way with these shadows so you definitely get your money’s worth.

The Infallible eye shadows have probably one of the best formulas I have tried. They are basically a pressed pigment and are a mix between a cream and a powder. Since they are a pigment they have great color pay off and are pretty opaque. Some seem to be more opaque then others but overall you get a really great even layer of color with just one swipe. These are also super creamy so they glide on like a dream and blend out beautifully. There can be some fallout with these shadows but it’s usually very, very, minimal so you don’t have to worry about having a complete mess like you usually would with a regular eye shadow pigment. I personally, never use a primer and these shadows do not crease or fade throughout the day. The finish of these shadows is very metallic or foiled looking. They aren’t really glittery but they have a really nice shine to them.

I have four of these shadows (R-L): Amber Rush, Burst Into Bloom, Endless Sea and Golden Emerald.

Amber Rush is my absolute favorite. It’s a beautiful rose gold color. It has great pigmentation and is very opaque. Burst Into Bloom is a vibrant light purple color. This color is my least favorite, though I do still love it. It has pretty good pigmentation and is somewhat opaque. I just don’t get as great color payoff with this color as I do with the others. I have to use a base underneath it in order for the color to really stand out. Endless Sea is my second favorite and is an amazing light blue color. This shadow has great pigmentation and is quite opaque. Golden Emerald is a beautiful green color with a gold reflect to it. It has great pigmentation and is pretty opaque. Even though the application of these shadows differs slightly, they’re overall performance is wonderful.

These are amazing eye shadows and I will definitely be adding more to my collection when I can. If you haven’t tried these shadows out then I highly suggest you do. The quality of these shadows is outstanding and the price point is perfect!

Here are some looks I did using these eye shadows…
Using Endless Sea and Golden Emerald.
Using Burst Into Bloom.
Using Amber Rush.

Have you tried these shadows out yet? If so, which one is your favorite?
