Tony Moly Pureness 100 Pearl Sheet Mask Review

Today’s review is of course on another Tony Moly sheet mask but this time it’s from a different range. All the masks I’ve been doing so far have been from their “I’m Real” range (click HERE to see them all and my last mask next week will be from the same range) but today’s mask is from the “Pureness 100” range. This one is another pearl mask just like the first one I tried. I was curious to see if and how they would be different. I wasn’t too impressed with the other pearl mask so I was really hoping this one would be different.

The packaging is really cute and nice. The sheet mask itself feels very nice and well made. The material was definitely thicker than others that I’ve tried, but not too thick. Even though this is a Korean brand and most of what’s on the back of the packaging is in Korean, there is also a small part that’s in English (I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to understand the instructions lol). Using a sheet mask is super simple and hassle-free. You pull it out of the package and apply it to your face (there are holes for the eyes, nose and mouth). It actually fit my face quite well and stayed in place better than other sheet masks I’ve tried. Once you’ve left the mask on for 20-30 minutes you then remove and throw away.

The fabric for this mask is different compared to the others because it’s 100% cotton. Apparently the cotton face sheets “provide moisture and nutrition to damaged skin, soothe stressed skin, and give a rich glow to skin”. I’m not quite sure how exactly the cotton differs from the other fabrics because I felt like the other sheet masks did the same thing. Anyways, this mask had a very light scent to it; so light I could hardly tell there even was a scent. The packaging, like all the rest, had plenty of serum inside so I was able to use this mask twice.

Front and back of package. Top part of the package is in Korean but on the bottom are the instructions in English.

My skin was able to absorb the serum really well and it didn’t leave my skin feeling too tacky afterwards. There was a tiny bit of tackiness but it went away very quickly. This serum did feel a little thicker than some of the other serums so I was surprised that it absorbed quickly and wasn’t very tacky. After using this mask the first time I could tell right away that my skin was more even in tone and felt smooth. As for any type of “brightening” affect, I really couldn’t tell a difference. The second time I used it I think I saw more of a difference because my acne scars did look a bit lighter. It wasn’t a lot but my skin did look better after the second use, so perhaps after using this mask on a regular basis I will really start to see a difference.

Overall this mask was really nice. I like that it didn’t irritate my skin at all and actually helped to even out my skin tone. I didn’t feel it was as moisturizing as some of the other masks but it did provide some nourishment. If you are looking for a mask to help brighten your complexion I can’t really say that this will for sure give you results. I would, however, recommend this pearl mask over the first one I tried because I definitely noticed more of a difference with this one, even if it was only a tiny bit. I would also recommend purchasing a few of these masks if you decide to try it out. I think that way you will have more opportunity to see results by using it more regularly instead of just one time. Make sure you check back next week for my final review on the last mask I purchased from the Tony Moly brand.
