Radha Beauty: Vitamin C Serum, Rosehip Oil and Tea Tree Oil Reviews

Earlier this year I was searching for some facial serums and oils to try out. Specifically, I wanted to purchase a product with vitamin C, plus purchase a tea tree oil and rosehip oil. I have tried similar products in the past and while some were good and some weren’t, I still wanted to find some that were better. I went searching on Amazon and came across the brand Radha Beauty. I saw that their Rosehip and Tea Tree oils had good reviews so I went to the brands website to do a little more searching. Right away I loved that the company is “committed to providing our customer with all-natural, organic, eco-friendly, and cruelty-free products.” I was then able to find the exact products I was looking for at a reasonable price so I went ahead and purchased them….and so happy that I did….

First I’ll start with their Vitamin C Serum. This serum claims to “help visibly minimize fine lines/ wrinkles and reduce the appearance of age spots and discoloration. It boosts collagen production, fights inflammation and helps damaged skin heal.” I was specifically looking for a vitamin C serum because of these benefits. As I have grown older, and am now in my 30’s, I know I need to start incorporating more “anti-aging” skincare into my routine since, as we age, our skin develops different needs. I want to take better care of my skin so I can help prevent certain skin issues rather than try and correct them later on. I was hoping this serum would help to smooth out some of the fine lines that I have as well as reduce old acne scars. This serum is very lightweight and has a pretty thin consistency (although apparently it’s thicker than their previous formula, it still feels fairly thin to me). I love that this serum absorbs instantly into the skin. A little can go a long way and I usually use about 4-5 drops for my whole face. This does have a sort of “earthy” smell to it. It’s the best way I can describe it. It’s not great but it’s not terrible. Once I apply it to my face though I can’t smell it at all. I can definitely tell that this has helped my skin so much. It’s not a miracle product but it’s definitely helped. It has faded some old acne scars; they aren’t completely gone but overall look much better. This has also helped to smooth my skin and diminish those fine lines. Overall my skin is smoother, brighter and even firmer. It just looks so much healthier.

Next is their Rosehip Oil which “provides the skin with a rich source of antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Essential fatty acids main function is their ability to counteract the drying effects of sun exposure and other environmental influences that lead to signs of aging and age related skin damage.” This oil has a slightly thicker consistency but is still lightweight. It absorbs pretty well into the skin, not fully like the Vitamin C Serum but still pretty well.  I usually use about 4-5 drops of this oil and it’s plenty for my face, neck and chest. Since this does take a bit longer to absorb I mostly use it at night or when I’m not wearing makeup. If I am planning on using makeup I use a little less. The more you use the more time it will take to absorb so make sure you use sparingly so you don’t feel “greasy.” I personally love the feeling of slathering it on sometimes to really nourish my skin. This oil does have a light scent but I don’t really know how to describe it. However, as with the Vitamin C serum, it doesn’t linger after it’s on your skin. I will admit I’m actually a little surprised at how nourishing this oil is. I guess it’s because the last rosehip oil I was using seemed pretty nourishing to me but this just blows that one out of the water. It really nourishes the skin from the inside out and not just the top layer of skin which I love. I found that this oil also helps to keep acne at bay and even if I get breakouts it helps to heal them very quickly. My skin is softer, supple and healthier as well from this oil.

Lastly, I purchased the Tea Tree Oil which “can be used to cleanse and purify the skin and nails and to support a healthy complexion.” I mainly purchased this oil for acne purposes, though I know it has a ton of other uses. This oil is lightweight and has a thin consistency. It absorbs pretty quickly into the skin but it does depend on what carrier oil you use with it. I have tried it on its own as a spot treatment but it definitely seems to absorb better with a carrier oil (which is no surprise, I just wanted to also try it on its own). I will usually use this with the rosehip oil mentioned above or with my jojoba oil. This does have a fairly strong, typical tea tree smell but once it’s on my skin I don’t really smell it. This does help to prevent acne as well as treat it. Sometimes I will use it as more of a spot treatment and just place over acne spots or I will put a few drops with the carrier oil to apply all over my face to help prevent acne. I do use it sparingly and only during times that I need it. If you use this too much on its own then it can be drying. Also, depending on the acne spot, whether it’s just a white head or a large deep acne spot depends on how quickly this will treat it. Sometimes the acne is gone overnight and sometimes it takes a few days.

Overall I am super happy and satisfied with these products. The last vitamin C serum I tried was $48 for 1 ounce and actually made me break out like crazy for two weeks until I returned it. This vitamin C serum cost $14.95 for 2 ounces and has only made my skin better. I was using a rosehip oil previously that cost $22 for 1 ounce and, even though it was nice, this one just goes above and beyond costing $13.95 for 4 ounces. Also, the last tea tree oil I tried was $10 for less than an ounce while this one is $12.95 for 4 ounces. These oils are also %100 pure and natural which makes them even better. I also want to mention that the serum came with a dropper tool and the two oils came with regular twist on caps but dropper tools as well for each which is fantastic. These have now become my new favorite products and I highly recommend checking them out.  I am definitely going to be checking out and purchasing more products from this brand.
