Manefit Mugwort Astringent + Pore Care Sheet Mask Review

In last month’s Ipsy Glam Bag (click HERE) I received two sheet masks so I decided to do a separate post on each. They are both from the brand Manefit and one is for pore care, while the other is for brightening. Today I am reviewing the mask for pore care. This mask is “a microfiber sheet mask that clears your pores as well as hydrates, the sheet mask helps you achieve radiant skin using salicylic acid from Mugwort Extract to gently exfoliate and clear pores while soothing sensitive skin. This soft, highly flexible, natural cellulose sheet mask improves skin tone and clarity with Mugwort Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, and Centella Asiatica Extract while imparting deep hydration.” Certainly sounds promising….click inside to find out my thoughts.

This sheet mask was quite thin and fit my face like most sheet masks; not perfectly but not terrible. The serum inside had a thin, clear consistency and didn’t have a great smell to it, but I didn’t notice it after a few minutes. The sheet itself was well saturated and there was enough serum inside for me to use the mask twice. When I take the sheet mask out I gently squeeze the excess out into the bag, making sure the sheet is still quite wet, just not dripping. After the first use I just fold the sheet mask up, place it back into the bag to soak up the remaining serum and seal it.

The serum absorbed quite well and didn’t feel too tacky on my skin which was nice. Afterwards my skin was smooth and soft. I could also tell that my skin felt a bit more moisturized and just overall very clean. This mask didn’t irritate my skin and I could tell that my pores looked slightly less noticeable but it wasn’t a huge difference. I didn’t notice that this had helped the few acne spots that I had and it didn’t reduce any of the redness that my skin has naturally.

Overall this was a very nice mask and has a great price point so it’s very affordable. I definitely felt that this mask helped to clear my pores and hydrated my skin. I guess when your pores are clean they can look “smaller” or less noticeable. I didn’t notice a huge difference but maybe my pores weren’t too bad. However I could tell that my skin looked and felt cleaner. I didn’t notice any difference in regards to tone and clarity but maybe that would improve over time when using this mask more often. Again, a very nice mask and would recommend checking it out. Make sure you check back next week for a review on the other sheet mask I received.
